Don't you just love collecting old relics and treasures?  I have them strewed-about, in and around my studio.  They make great props for paintings.  I came across this old carbide carriage light many years ago in my Grandpas garage, and now it hangs on one of my sheds like a piece of art.  The Carolina wrens are fun to watch as they choose the most unlikely places to build their nest.  This old lamp must have seemed like the perfect home for them.  It certainly made a fun painting to do for me.
