"Without doubt, my favorite painting subjects come from the back road excursions my wife Coleen and I take as we travel throughout the country doing art shows and events. Then while at home, for entertainment on our days off, we explore the beautiful hills and meandering roads of southern Indiana. This is where my heart is, this is where I'm from, and this is where most of my paintings originate from. I have mentioned that I think I have been on every back road in Indiana, but invariably, every trip, I come across another one I missed."
