During a 2019 workshop in Franklin Indiana, for demonstration reference I used a photo I took of an old bar sitting delict in a field beside this beautiful old tree. It made a great subject for the students to paint as a step-by-step demo. As I often do after a demo, upon returning to my studio I reworked and finished the painting to add to my collection. Upon re-analyzing the photo before I started, I realized that this was not a barn at all, but instead, it was an old abandoned bouse,.. someone's house! This intrigued me even more. imagining the life, and the stories, made the subject even more intriguing, so I finished it off by revitalizing the house back into a home.
