This painting is one of a series of 4 barns, each displaying different advertisements, and each depicting a different season the four seasons. I painted the old Meramec Caverns barn from a photo I took many years ago along Indiana highway 150, just a little West of Paoli, Indiana. This was one of those "two-fors" with the Mail Pouch ad on the front too. The barn is gone now, so I was especially glad I kept reference photos to paint from and was able to at least record the history of these beautiful old advertisement barns in paintings.
