This old cabin is gone now, but it used to sit on the lake at my brother-in-law's place in Owen County, Indiana. It was a great little rustic hunting and fishing lodge that the whole family used on the weekends. What a perfect place to escape the hum-drum of the city life for a couple days of relaxing. The girls could sit back in the chase lounge & sun on the deck, and read a good book, while the men folk were out dipping a line in the lake or chasing game through the woods. Then all would spend the evenings around the camp fire grilling their bounty and enjoying mother nature's evening to the symphony of the night sounds. I'm so glad I got photos to do this painting from before the old shack was tore down to build a more permanent lodge up the hill.
