Southern Indiana has many back roads following along creek beds that are lined with trees and often seen are the beautiful Sycamores. I was fortunate to find his magnificent one along Indian Creek Road near my home at Nineveh. Many sycamores, like this huge beauty, are well over 150 years old. Unfortunately they're not good to build with, and they even makes poor fire wood, but they are one of the most beautiful trees in th Midwest and are one of my favorite painting subjects. This old tree inspired me with its mighty trunk and dancing white branches, maintaining its appearance of both strength, and beauty.
