100 Year Old Barnwood, Painted and Coated with Epoxy by Steve Johnson
The barn wood was accumulated a few years ago when someone I met was restoring his Grandfather's Log Cabin. He had a couple of barns on the property as well. He tore one barn down and sold the larger boards to someone, but they did not want the 3-4 foot boards. That was perfect for me. I purchased all the boards - about 70 in all. I thought these had so much character and been sitting out for a hundred years or so. I wanted to work them so it would bring out the grain as well as the saw cuts and valleys from the erosion.
