I did this painting from an old black & white Polaroid photo and a few newer colored photos I took last year. This is the old Rund Farm, along the Oak Grove Road, in Brown County, Indiana. The original home on the right is still standing but now used as storage and a barn, while the newer home is on the left, and even it is about 100 years old, so I'm certain there is a lot of stories and history within these old walls of both buildings. My first discovery of this old homestead was about 40 years ago when my wife Coleen, her folks and I, were exploring the back roads. We stopped here to take a photo, and the kind lady who lived here gave us a cool drink of fresh water from that old well.
